A group of about 100 protestors gathered outside a Durban hospital, demanding jobs.
The crowd blocked off the entrance to the hospital at Naidu Road, making this a no-go section while protests were going on,
Parboo Sewpersad, Metro police senior superintendent, reported on the incident, stating that the crowd grew violent. They were stoning vehicles when asked to break up, and then set a bus on fire.
Police urgered motorist to avoid this area.
Arrests were made during the protests, as reported by Sewpersad.
