Black First Land First (BLF) party, led by Andile Mngxitama, has made a statement that he believes that the arrest of the prophet and his wife on charges of fraud and money laundering is none more than a ploy to shut down the black church.
The couple was arrested on several allegations, including breaching Exchange Control Regulations in connection to 1,147,200 worth of foreign currencies. They will appear in court on Monday to face the charges.
The controversial group, BLF, has come out to make claims that the allegations towards the prophet are nothing more than a ploy driven by the white capitalist to target and shut down black churches. Going further to say that white churches involved in similar crimes, including sexual offenses, are going unpunished.
The BLF have stated that they have opened many cases with the SAPS involving similar cases, yet none of the accused have been arrested or even questioned. The BLF believe this is due to racial inequality, and the
“None of the perpetrators have been arrested and/or interrogated by the Hawks. BLF believes that this is because the rampant white power structure that allows whites to act criminally without consequence, while blacks are found guilty without any proven prior transgression.
