The ANC filed a dispute on October 31st, 2018, to reclaim it’s website domain. Unwembi pulled the website domain in September after the ANC failed to pay its bills owed to Unwembi. The official site of the ANC at one point was www.anc.org.za but no longer loads. At one point, the website said “This website is suspended due to non-payment by the service provider”.
The ANC decided to launch a new website with the domain name anc1912.org.za, supposedly referring to the alleged date the ANC was created.
The company that use to manage the domain is suing the ANC for R33 Million. According to reports the total cost of the sit was R26.5 million for membership agreement and R6 million for the site.
